"I went to the showhome and just thought, ‘Wow.’ The design, the quality, everything about it just felt right."

A Fresh Start For Family Life
Although Hannah enjoyed living in Broughty Ferry, she knew it was time for a change. Balancing work at her family’s business in Montrose with nursery drop-offs and the demands of everyday family life meant she was looking for a home that made life simpler.
At Linton Mews, Hannah found the lifestyle she had been looking for. Its peaceful setting, shorter commute and proximity to Lylah’s nursery gave her more flexibility in her day, while still keeping Montrose and Aberdeen within close reach. The spacious development, coastal surroundings and welcoming community makes it an easy place to imagine calling home.
Bringing Her Vision To Life
For Hannah, one of the most exciting parts of the experience was creating a home that reflected her own style.
Having spent years saving interior inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok, she knew the look she wanted to achieve - modern, timeless and practical for family life. Working closely with project manager Tracey, those ideas quickly become more than just a moodboard.
The flexibility offered by Fotheringham Homes allowed Hannah to personalise her home's layout in ways that suited her lifestyle. The master bedroom was extended above the garage to create a spacious suite complete with a dressing room and en-suite, while the utility rooms were redesigned to maximise storage and accommodate an American-style fridge freezer. Additional units, a waterfall island and carefully chosen finishes completed the home Hannah had imagined for years.
"Tracey captured everything we wanted perfectly. I would share my ideas, she’d make suggestions from her experience, and they made such a difference"

Straight Forward From Start To Finish
Moving home can often be one of the most stressful times in life, but Hannah says the team at Fotheringham Homes made the process feel straightforward from start to finish.
With the sale of her previous home moving quickly, Hannah expected the process to feel overwhelming. Instead, regular progress updates and site visits with Tracey and the team gave her the confidence that everything was under control, allowing her to enjoy the excitement of watching her new home take shape.
Hannah said, “Everyone was brilliant, I always knew what was happening and never felt like I had to chase anything. They really took away a lot of the stress.”
Settled Into What Life Is Like At Linton Mews
A year on, Hannah says she couldn’t be happier with the move. Lylah has settled into nursery school and enjoys local clubs, while Hannah has become part of the community through pilates classes and getting to know her neighbours.
Family and friends regularly visit, making the most of the open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. Hannah also loves decorating her home throughout the year, and says the neutral interiors provide the perfect canvas for seasonal touches, especially at Christmas, when the tree takes centre stage.
For Hannah, settling into a new routine at Linton Mews has made the move everything she hoped it would be. She laughs that the only real downside has been the slightly longer drive to her weekly football matches, but says it's a small price to pay for finding a home and lifestyle that suits them so perfectly.
A Forever Home
Even now, Hannah still feels the same excitement every time she walks through the front door. Every room reflects the vision she'd spent years planning, while Lylah has made herself right at home in her princess-themed bedroom, a space that's every little girl's dream.
For Hannah, Linton Mews is far more than somewhere to live. It's a home that's brought family and friends together, created lasting memories and given her and Lylah the perfect place to enjoy this chapter of their lives. Talking about what their future home looks like, Hannah said "I feel completely settled here, I absolutely see this as our forever home."
“
I still love walking through the front door every day. It's everything I hoped it would be when I first stepped into the showhome, and I honestly couldn't imagine calling anywhere else home.
