Fotheringham Homes has officially opened the doors to its brand new showhome at Linton Mews, Gourdon – a development set to bring 49 high-quality homes to the coastal fishing village.
The showhome was officially opened on Friday 25th July with a gathering to thank the local suppliers and partners who helped bring the development to life. Current and future residents were also invited along for an early look ahead of the doors opening to the wider public on Saturday.
The Linton Mews development offers a fresh take on coastal living, combining modern interiors with traditional charm. The 49-home development includes a mix of two and three-bedroom bungalows, alongside three and four-bedroom detached homes, designed to suit growing families, downsizers and everyone in between.
Set in the heart of the village, just a short walk from Gourdon’s working harbour, the homes are built to make the most of the area’s natural light and sea views. Every home is finished with Fotheringham’s signature craftsmanship, using quality materials and a layout that focuses on space, comfort and practicality.

‘’For the Mulberry showhome, we wanted to create a space that feels calm and welcoming but also enhanced the unique features of the house type’’ said Lisa and Freya from The Inside Story Interior Design. “We layered soft tones with natural textures to create a flow and sense of warmth as you move from room to room. It’s a timeless look, but with elevated touches throughout that help each space feel truly unique”
The local interior designers drew on modern Scandinavian influences, pairing clean lines and a muted palette with natural materials such as oak and linen to create a home that feels both contemporary and inviting. The showhome was designed with families in mind, considering every detail to balance style and practicality, making the interiors not only beautiful but also perfectly suited to family life.
While the Mulberry house type is a trusted favourite in the Fotheringham portfolio, the overall look and feel of the interiors reflect a more refined and contemporary direction. The features within the home paired with open-plan layouts, and thoughtful detailing help homeowners get the best of the space. Fotheringham Homes are praised for their customised approach allowing customers to create their own spaces with an array of stylish and high-quality finishes with the help of their designer.
Managing Director, Michael Fotheringham added, “We’re proud to be bringing a development of this quality to Gourdon. The team have designed a home that fits the surroundings, while giving the buyer the space, comfort and flexibility they’re looking for. The feedback so far has been incredibly positive, and we’re excited to welcome more people through the door in the weeks ahead.’’

The Fotheringham team, known for their personal approach and hands-on service, continues to work with trusted local suppliers across all areas of the build and fit-out. Every detail matters – from the kitchen built with high-end appliances to bathrooms and fittings chosen to stand the test of time. This commitment to quality and community was recently recognised in the 2024 Scottish Home Awards, where Fotheringham Homes picked up three key awards: House Builder of the Year (under 100 units), Show Home of the Year, and the Community Contribution Award.

Located just one mile south of Inverbervie, Gourdon offers a peaceful coastal setting with everyday convenience. With sea views, fresh air and a strong sense of community, it’s easy to see why so many people are drawn to making this village their home.
